Lacey Johnson is currently a JD/MBA Candidate at Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law and Kellogg School of Management, where she serves as Co-President of the JD/MBA Association and was selected as a Toigo Fellow. Her professional interests include community development finance, real estate, entrepreneurship, and the laws that govern them all.
Prior to pursuing graduate studies, Ms. Johnson worked for several years as a Community Development Deputy to then Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas. In her role, Ms. Johnson managed a capital project portfolio of over 150 projects valuing $2 billion and established policies to support small business, affordable housing and other economic development in underserved communities.
In addition to receiving her B.A. from UCLA in political science, Ms. Johnson is a proud graduate of several fellowship and professional programs including Management Leadership for Tomorrow, the Riordan MBA Fellowship, the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs, and the Public Policy and International Affairs Fellowship at Princeton University, among others.
In her spare time, Ms. Johnson enjoys serving on nonprofit boards, teaching courses as a community college adjunct lecturer, and exploring new neighborhoods by foot.
