Su Chuen Foo joins Avivar Capital as an Associate, bringing with her more than a decade of experience in social sector evaluation, impact measurement, and strategic consulting across nonprofit, social enterprise, and philanthropy sectors. She started her career at Women for Women International where she traveled extensively to countries like Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo to support field staff in monitoring and evaluation of women's economic development programs. She has also provided research, monitoring and evaluation support at the Corporate Executive Board (acquired by Gartner) and Social Impact. Most recently, she worked as a Strategy Consultant at Kamehameha Schools, leading and supporting various strategic initiatives, including supporting the development of an impact investing pilot program at the organization and developing and implementing impact measurement approaches to better understand the financial and social impact of investments, across educational, conservation, agriculture, and commercial real estate investments.

Su Chuen has a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University. She is currently a Venture Fellow at Coyote Ventures, supporting investments in early stage femtech companies. She believes that capital can be leveraged for the greater good, is deeply curious about place-based investing as a true starting point for sustainable investments and is excited to be a part of the growth of the impact investing sector.
